Teen Mothers – Help Your Daughter Avoid Being a Teen Mother
Teen Mothers is Certainly Not a Popular Topic
One common topic that most parents dread talking about is sex, which unfortunately produces too many teen mothers. It normally makes teenagers nervous and parents embarrassed and awkward. Oh well, what are you gonna do! The fact of the matter is we have to talk about sex. Because whether we’d like to admit it or not, couples and strangers all over this planet are having it. Considering the global rise in STDs and pregnancy, there’s no doubt about this. What it comes down to is education and understanding. We, the parents of this world, have to teach our children how to be safe and avoid certain situations until they’re truly ready. If we don’t, we’re likely to have countless teen mothers and minors afflicted with HIV.
Help Your Daughter From Becoming a Teen Mother
I’m a father and I can honestly say that it’s not easy conversing with my teenage daughter about sex and trying to keep her from becoming the next teen mother. I feel a bit awkward, and you’d better believe they do as well. It’s virtually impossible not to. In regards to me, I don’t want to even think about them ever having sex. I’m sure most parents can understand this. And as far as they go, they have no desire to get all embarrassed when I chat with them about teen mothers and the infinite STDs. But, this does not stop me. It can’t. Not if I expect them to be smart and stay safe. The reality is that our children are going to have lives away from us. Therefore we have to prepare them as best we can to be prudent and make smart decisions when we’re not around.
There Seems to be Coutless Teen Mothers in America
Look at the countless teen mothers in America alone. As depressing as this is to witness, it’s still our reality. I can’t tell you how many teen mothers I’ve seen out at shopping malls and in the grocery stores with their infants and angry boyfriends. Why are these guys so ticked-off and gloomy? Maybe because they just threw their lives away for a few minutes of pleasure. Not too bright! This is why it’s not only up to us to educate our children, but also to keep up with their lives and acquaintances. The more you communicate with your teens and the more you learn, then the fewer teen mothers this country will see in the years to come.
