It was all so hard for the kids….but yeah, they did it anyway. Selfish adults.
My best advice to you is to take it one day at a time. Don’t try to be a parent right away to your stepkids. They have a father who has had a relationship with them their whole lives. Instead, make sure they know that you are there to support them as another responsible adult who cares about their well being. Think of yourself as their favorite auntie and defer the discipline to your husband. Above all, present a united front. It will be hard, but it will be worth it. Good luck. Keep me posted.
were moving in together in 3 wks. just me with no kids and him and his 2 kids. we are moving into a new house. im nervous as hell lol especially of the preteen daughter.
